NIKKI MUNDAHL MSW, LCSW
Child/Adolescent Mental Health Therapist
Nikki Mundahl: Meet the Team
Hello! My name is Nikki and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and co-owner of Comfy Couch Counseling. I received my Master in Social Work degree at the University of Minnesota – St. Paul and my Bachelor of Social Work degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead. I primarily provide therapy services for child and adolescent clients (7-25 years of age) but also see some adult clients as well. I have been practicing in child, adolescent, and family mental health services since 2008 and have worked in a variety of settings including children’s day treatment, partial hospitalization, case management, and outpatient mental health counseling. I am honored to be a part of the journey that each client/family is going through. The therapy process allows each client, no matter where they are in their journey, to foster their internal resiliency, master new skills, overcome obstacles, gain insight, and be the best version of themselves. Every treatment plan is individually tailored to meet the unique set of circumstances each client presents with. I practice using a variety of modalities and interventions stemming from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and other play and art based interventions. Thank you for taking the time to consider mental health services for yourself or your child. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further questions about myself or the therapy process.
